Growing up on the streets of New York, Sung Choi witnessed the 'sneaker evolution' first-hand. He had once worked in the footwear department of the legendary sporting goods store 'Paragon' in Union Square, and having lived and breathed graphic design for the best part of his life, he instinctively felt that there was a gap in the market. He knew sneakers from both a product and a cultural perspective, and felt that this provided him with an insight into the footwear industry that other designers lacked. This insight provided the spark that was needed to ignite a creative explosion. And so, Clae Shoes was born.
