Creative director Sung Choi decided to set up the brand feeling there was a void in the footwear market he and his mates wanted to wear. He set about producing trainers for grown-ups "footwear that represented our interests and activities, whether going to dinner with your lady or hanging out with your friends, footwear that goes everywhere you want to go without sacrificing style or comfort. We wanted to combine the comforts of athletic footwear with the stylings of casual footwear and come out with something new".

By redefining the boundaries of casual footwear, Clae fills the void between sneakers and shoes. Drawing from timeless design, Clae delivers a collection of timeless classics for the modern man.
