The Herschel Supply Co story all started a long, long time ago, well before the current business of backpacks and travel goods manufacturers. It all started in the early 1900s when a barrel maker from Wick in Scotland called Peter Alexander Cormack and his wife Anne made the long journey across the atlantic ocean and immigrated to the small town of Herschel in Canada. At the time the government were enticing people, through the homestead program, to make the switch and set up shop in the new promised land.
Three generations later and with a head count of just 30 residents, brothers Jamie and Lyndon Cormack set up Herschel Supply Co and named it after the town their family had first settled. The company now has it head quarters in Vancover, Canada and has become a highly respected back pack and travel bag company in a short period of time, becoming a globally respected brand through innovative design and high quality products.
With an ever expanding range that incorporates everything from computer sleeves to wallets and luggage, the Herschel goal is simply to create classic timeless pieces with a fine attention to detail. The collection takes inspiration from American heritage, vintage mountaineering and world exploration whilst keeping a firm eye on fashion trends. Their products aim to reinvent these nostalgic days whilst incorporating modern demands, shapes, fittings and details; Herschel Supply Co is set to produce the classics of the future.
The Herschel collection has grown from strength to strength from the simple classic shapes of the Heritage or Settlement to the ever popular Little America bag. For a weekend away Herschel Supply Co make a great selection of duffle bag sizes from the Novel or Ravine to the larger Walton bag. As the collection grows so does the range on Street Casuals; with some ladies specific sizes and colours planned for this coming winter we are sure this collection will continue to gather momentum.
