African Apparel

AFRICAN APPAREL is a T-shirt label run by a hairy French man in Bristol. The label is rooted in the flourishing underground art and music scene collaborating with new and exciting Artists for every design. AA's aesthetic has been described as dark, funny, distorted, genius and controversial. AA started in the summer of 2008 as a conceptual music project concentrating on creating absurd and psychedelic performances, reminiscent of a booze fuelled version of Alan Watts' 'this is it', spontaneous and improvised. The band soon ended but the African Apparel name continued and was morphed in to a clothing brand, championing the unique and original design that are now appearing on their tees.
