New to the fold, Street casuals are among the select few UK retailers chosen to stock Bohnam Supply Co. Bridging the ground between skateboarding and outdoor persuits, Bohnam has a fresh new take on a really interesting niche.
The name Bohnam is manhob backwards, Mans hobbies, the inspiration is from fishing, hunting and the outdoors with a mix between skate culture, especially in the boom time of the 90's and classic mid century American outdoor looks. The collection is designed to be classic, clean and simple styling and also to be affordable. Bonham want their pieces to stand the test of time, garments you keep coming back to, time after time or accessories that never leave your person. The designs and fonts are generally done by hand to keep the classic themes with many using old methods such as Indian ink and quills.
The collection shows maturity perhaps because the Creative Director and owner of the company Ky Baker has a long and illustrious career in the skate industry, dating back to 1993 when still at school he produced some designs for Pervert clothing. Since then he has worked and contributed to a number of other brands and companies including Planet Earth, Rhythm and Listen skateboards. As well as a long history in clothing, Ky has also been involved in footwear design and has also worked with a host of companies including Fallen, C1rca and Adio.
The Bohnam Suppy Co collection has a great range of t-shirt's including front and back print designs and pocket t-shirts, all very reasonably priced. As with all collections at the moment it also has a range of Snapback caps and also beanies. The accessory collection includes navajo inspired belts and some off the wall additions including boomerangs, axes, knives and dog collars!
The Bohnam supply ethos says it all "Freedom, skateboarding, and simpler times. This idea will never change. The idea behind Bohnam was clear, to merge together what we can't live without. For the past 2.
