Elvine is a Swedish brand with its roots in traditional craftsmanship but it’s head firmly in the streets. The label was founded by Daniel Mānd, a guy who grew up ensconced in graffiti culture, who saw the way trends were shifting, with a market for graffiti in galleries and on t-shirts, not just walls & train carriages and asked why not make money from your passion?
The brand is named in honour of Daniel’s maternal grandmother, Elvine Mānd, an Estonian seamstress who fled to Sweden in the WW2. A true artist, Elvine Mānd was a hardworking, single mother of 4 girls with a passion for painstaking quality and a reputation for excellence.
Daniel opened his first streetwear store and over time, saw a gap in the market for clothes that bridged the gap between unrefined street clothing and the quality, traditional clothing of his grandmother.
From then on, the boy from the streets became obsessed with quality and craftsmanship & the brand Elvine was well and truly born; sophisticated clothes for unsophisticated behaviour.
Elvine strive to produce clothes that transcend seasons, that are easy to wear and combine with the rest of your wardrobe, clothes with a good fit and clean cut, ornamented with innovative details that force others to take notice.
When asked to describe what his clothes are all about, Mānd says he’s always aimed to make clothing that he and his friends have trouble finding elsewhere on the market; casual yet sophisticated clothes with a great fit, that you can comfortably wear everyday, anywhere.
