Saucony has become one of the most recognisable and popular names in the running shoe market; a market which has collectors and enthusiasts queuing over night for the latest release. By trade Saucony specialise in technical running footwear, supplying avid athletes with the support and comfort required from top performing trainers.
Saucony started in 1898 when 4 business men in Kutzrown, Pennsylvania opened a footwear factory on the banks of the Saucony Creek. The location of which laid the foundation for the logo of the company, inspired by the constant flowing of the creek.
Now on of the oldest footwear brands on the market today, Saucony is at the forefront of sneaker design and, over the last century, has built up a fine collection of retro runners that can be seen lining the walls of sneaker head's bedrooms and fashion outlets across the world.
In keeping with the modern day market, Saucony have had a string of successful collaborations; including personal favourites with Bodega and the Elite G9 model. They have taken a different approach to the usual collaboration blueprint in the collaboration with White Mountaineering, the Tokyo based clothing brand. The joint effort combined the best of both companies and was typically Japanese in quality and price tag.
